Kaizer Chiefs FC are desperately searching for reinforcements in the ongoing January transfer window.
The Glamour Boys are struggling to find the back of the net this season, having scored just 17 goals in 14 league games.
Nasreddine Nabi’s side were expected to compete with rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates this season.
However, Kaizer Chiefs have fallen well short thus far and now, the club have been forced to make some big changes in their attack.
According to the latest reports, Nabi will have at least three new attackers to call upon by the end of the month.
Three new attackers coming to Kaizer Chiefs
Experienced Premier Soccer League striker Tashreeq Morris has reportedly completed a move to Naturena from SuperSport United.
Furthermore, 27-year-old Congolese attacker Glody Lilepo is set to arrive at Kaizer Chiefs following a reported R9.6 million move from French side Valenciennes.
And finally, youngster Naledi Hlongwane has been promoted to the Amakhosi first team to bolster Nabi’s attack for him.
Nasreddine Nabi has not been shy to throw youngsters into the deep-end this season, and that looks set to continue.
Amakhosi reserve team striker Naledi Hlongwane is the latest star on the talent conveyor belt at Naturena!
The Kaizer Chiefs youngster made a name for himself after scoring a brace for the Carling All Stars team in their triumph over Magesi FC. He was named Man-of-The-Match, bagging a handsome R100 000 in prize money.
Hlongwane set to wear Jersey 35 for Chiefs
“What I can tell you now is that the promotion process is as good as done. They have already allocated jersey number 35 to him and he traveled with the team to Durban for the game against Sekhukhune United,” an insider told Soccer Laduma regarding the Kaizer Chiefs youngster.
“It was thought that he was supposed to have played in that game but they changed the decision in the last minute.
“Yes, coming to the contract, it’s an initial three-year senior team contract and it will run until June 2028. So, yes, things are working out for the youngsters at Kaizer Chiefs right now.”
