I can't wait for the deadline so I can submit my story already, I keep tinkering with it, moving pieces around and deleting bits and bobs. So hopefully it will be an acceptable story for the CAW by the time I finish poking about with it. Please hurry up 31st! It could be a completely different story by then!! It's really simple so don't fret. When your story is posted. Open up the page as if you were going to read it or vote. At the top of your screen you'll see the link, for example: *not_secure_link*stories.xnxx.com/story/39557/Saving_the_Best_for_Last

Highlight it, right click copy and then paste it into a pm. If you have problems, let me know.

Well, I'm literally about two paragraphs from finishing, but I need to stop now and finish it up tomorrow. (Did I mention I hate writing sex scenes?)

That doesn't give me much time for editing, and honestly I'm not satisfied with the pacing of the story. And I still haven't figured out a title. So if you read a hastily edited, poorly paced story with a dumb title and a mediocre sex scene in the competition, that one's mine.

By "ambiguity of person" I mean that, initially, I tried writing several stories about women who are lost, alone, and isolated (both literally and figuratively) because that's what I thought of when I saw the image. But then I thought to myself, huh, ya know, I probably wouldn't characterize the picture that way if the figure in it weren't a woman. A man alone on a dark street looks threatening, but a woman looks vulnerable, why is that? It seemed to me that the only real defining element of the figure in the picture is that we can't tell anything about her; who she is, what she's doing, where she's going, she's a complete stranger to us. So I wrote about that.

It does this old pervert's heart good to see a new young writer show so much enthusiasm for the Challenge. We've been doing this now for about two years, and writers have come and gone. I hope you will be one who stays. Having read your entry, I would say that you will fit in around here just fine.

The VAST majority of the stories we have seen for ALL the Challenges have been quite good, and yours, PIvy, is no exception.

I know. I said I was done a couple of days ago.

Then I did a final proofreading. Found some stupid mistakes, made a couple of slight revisions, saved it. It would have been hard for a lot of people to have told one from the other.

Then I re-wrote the ending. Again. Added a bit to it to make it more logical and understandable. Then I did a final proofreading. I got home from work, and decided to do one last proofreading while waiting for the stroke of midnight. I had already read and commented on two great stories, and I wanted to post mine early so people would read it.

I'm on page fifteen of my approximately twenty-two page total re-write. I'll do a final proofreading, find some more dumb shit, make a couple of slight revisions, and save it.

The question is, will it be that much better than the original?

Since I'm not at all sure at four in the morning, I'll save it, and just have a quick skim-through over breakfast before posting it. Since I have the day off, breakfast can be whenever I get my sorry ass out of bed.
